When This War Ends
This marks the concert premiere of my new opera, "When This War Ends." I've written the libretto based on a book by my brother, Graeme Smith, about his experiences as a journalist during the recent war in Afghanistan. I'll be blogging throughout the winter as I work on setting my new libretto- stay in touch at http://tinyalligator.tumblr.com/
I'm very honoured that this performance will be a production of Spectrum Music in Toronto. This ambitious group is also producing three other concerts of original Canadian music during the 11/12 season- be sure to check them out!
